SUPPORT FROM A DIETITIAN
NUTRITIONIST FOR
FUNCTIONAL + INTEGRATIVE
WELLNESS AND TESTING
If you've been spending hundreds or even thousands of dollars trying to get someone to look beyond "normal" labs and actually help you understand why you don't feel well… there's another way.
Hi. We’re glad you’re here.
At keeks + co., our registered dietitians take a functional, integrative approach to nutrition and wellness while working within an insurance-based model.
We look at the whole picture: your symptoms, health history, nutrition, lifestyle, medications, supplements, routine labs, and, when appropriate, functional testing.
Because getting to the root of what's going on shouldn't automatically mean paying thousands out of pocket.
Currently in-network with BCBS, United Healthcare, Aetna & Cigna. Most patients pay $0 out of pocket for working with a dietitian nutritionist for breastfeeding and postpartum.
WHY WORK WITH A
DIETITIAN NUTRITIONIST FOR
FUNCTIONAL + INTEGRATIVE WELLNESS
Sometimes "everything looks normal" doesn't match how you actually feel.
Fatigue. Digestive symptoms. Hormonal changes. Blood sugar swings. Nutrient deficiencies. Inflammation. Sleep issues. Feeling like something is just off.
A functional and integrative dietitian looks beyond one symptom or one lab value. We take the time to understand how your nutrition, lifestyle, health history, medications, supplements, labs, and symptoms may be working together.
Our approach can help you:
Dig deeper into persistent symptoms and patterns
Review routine labs through a nutrition-focused lens
Identify potential nutrient gaps and deficiencies
Support gut, metabolic, hormonal, and overall health
Build individualized food, supplement, and lifestyle recommendations
Determine whether additional routine or functional testing may be appropriate
Create a realistic plan and actually follow your progress over time
And we don't stop at food. Nutrition matters tremendously, but so do sleep, stress, movement, medications, supplements, your environment, your routines, and everything else that makes you you.
Our goal is to become your home base: somewhere you're heard, your questions are taken seriously, and you leave knowing what comes next.
INSURANCE AND ACCESSIBILITY
Functional wellness has developed a reputation for being expensive. We don't think comprehensive nutrition care should automatically come with a massive cash-pay price tag.
We're in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Medical Resources, Aetna, Cigna, and UHC, and many patients pay little to nothing out of pocket for their nutrition counseling.
When additional testing is appropriate, we'll talk through your options, what we hope to learn, and any associated costs before moving forward.
WHAT MAKES OUR
FUNCTIONAL + INTEGRATIVE
APPROACH DIFFERENT
We take the time to actually look at you.
Your initial consultation is comprehensive, typically lasting 90–120 minutes. We review your health history, symptoms, nutrition, lifestyle, labs, medications, supplements, goals, and the things you've already tried.
Then we build a plan.
Depending on your needs, your care may include nutrition therapy, lifestyle recommendations, supplement recommendations, routine lab work, functional testing, and collaboration with your other healthcare providers.
Follow-up visits allow us to evaluate what's working, review results, adjust your recommendations, and continue digging deeper when necessary.
This isn't a protocol pulled off a shelf. It's individualized care built around your body, your data, and your actual life. You don't need another generic wellness plan, another drawer full of supplements, or another person telling you that everything looks "fine" when you don't feel fine.
Let's look at the whole picture.
We’ll help connect the dots, build a plan, and be the home base you've been looking for.
INTERESTED IN FUNCTIONAL
LAB TESTING?
Sometimes routine labs don't give us all the information we're looking for.
Our dietitians can help determine whether functional testing may be useful based on your symptoms, health history, and goals.
Interested in testing?
Tell us what you're looking for here.
Functional testing recommendations are individualized. Submitting this form does not mean a specific test will automatically be recommended or ordered. Our team will help determine the most appropriate next step for you.
All lab testing requests require an initial consultation with one of our registered dietitians. During this visit, we’ll review your health history, symptoms, goals, and current labs to determine whether the requested test is the best fit for you, or if another option may be more appropriate.
A follow-up consultation is also required to review your results, explain what they mean, and create a personalized plan based on your findings.
-
A functional and integrative registered dietitian looks at nutrition as one part of your larger health picture. We consider symptoms, health history, lifestyle, medications, supplements, labs, and nutrition together to develop individualized recommendations rather than focusing on one symptom in isolation.
-
Depending on the type of testing and where you live, our dietitians may be able to coordinate routine and functional lab testing as part of your nutrition care. We'll determine what testing is appropriate based on your individual needs.
-
Testing recommendations depend on your symptoms and goals. Functional testing may include more specialized evaluation of areas such as gut health, hormones, nutrient status, or other health markers when clinically appropriate. Start by submitting our functional lab testing request form or scheduling a consultation so we can determine what makes sense for you.
-
Yes. When appropriate, our dietitians can incorporate supplement recommendations into your care plan. Most intervention plans include a supplement protocol, along with medical nutrition therapy. We believe supplements should be purposeful and individualized rather than a substitute for understanding what's actually going on.
-
That's exactly when looking at the bigger picture can be helpful! Lab values are one piece of your health story. We also look at symptoms, trends, nutrition, lifestyle, health history, medications, and other factors to determine what deserves attention and what your next steps may be. If your labs are inconclusive, we’ll continue to be detective on your behalf until we figure out what’s going on.
