Owner & Founder

Kyrstin (aka "Keeks") is the owner and founder of k+c, where she serves as the leader behind the practice's team, programs, and patient care philosophy. As an integrative and functional Registered Dietitian, her passion is creating evidence-based, approachable nutrition care that helps people eat, live, and flourish.

After overcoming her own diet-related health challenges, Kyrstin recognized the importance of looking beyond symptoms and taking a whole-body approach to wellness. That perspective continues to shape the foundation of k+c and the programs, systems, and education she develops for both patients and our registered dietitians.

Although she is no longer accepting patients, Kyrstin remains deeply involved in every aspect of the practice. She mentors the k+c dietitians and interns, develops clinical protocols and educational resources, designs patient programs and corporate wellness initiatives, and works alongside the team to continually elevate the quality of care delivered across the organization.

Kyrstin has worked in healthcare since 2014 after earning her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Foods with a concentration in Dietetics from Appalachian State University and completing her dietetic internship through Meredith College. Prior to founding k+c, she practiced as both a clinical dietitian within the Duke Health system and as an outpatient dietitian providing virtual nutrition counseling and community education nationwide.

Her clinical background and areas of expertise continue to guide the practice's educational content and clinical standards, with particular interests in autoimmune disorders, gut health, Hashimoto's thyroiditis, IBS, functional nutrition, and GI-MAP interpretation and protocol development.

When she's not building new programs or collaborating with her team, you'll likely find her experimenting in the kitchen or spending time with her husband Billy and their four children, or cuddling with her two tuxedo cats, Ryce and Bean.
