MONIKA VICARIO MS, RD, LDN, CLC
Monika is a dedicated and compassionate holistic Registered Dietitian and Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) with a strong passion for supporting the mother–infant dyad through evidence-based nutrition and infant feeding guidance. She is deeply committed to promoting maternal health, breastfeeding success, and infant growth by providing individualized, empathetic care during the critical perinatal and postpartum periods. Having spent much of her life in Germany before building her career in the United States, Monika brings a culturally informed and inclusive approach to her practice, enriching her counseling with an appreciation for diverse family traditions and food cultures.
Monika earned her Bachelor’s degree in Applied Nutrition Science from North Carolina State University and completed both her Master’s degree and Dietetic Internship at Meredith College in Raleigh, North Carolina. In addition to her dietetic training, she is certified as a Lactation Counselor, allowing her to support families with breastfeeding, bottle-feeding, combination feeding, and infant nutrition concerns. Her professional background includes experience in multiple nutrition-focused practices, a mental health clinic, and leadership roles as a Lead Corporate Dietitian. In this capacity, she is currently overseeing corporate wellness programs, developing and teaching classes, and ensuring program effectiveness through participant engagement, satisfaction, and measurable outcomes. She is trained in motivational interviewing and emphasizes collaborative, client-centered care. As a former Division I athlete, Monika understands the role nutrition plays across the lifespan, from athletic performance to pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and early childhood development. She remains physically active through hiking, running, and tennis. Her firsthand experience with the impact of nutrition on athletic performance spans from ultra-marathon running to golf.
Monika is passionate about using nutrition as a practical and sustainable tool to support health, resilience, and confidence in both parents and infants. She prioritizes meeting clients where they are and implementing realistic strategies that align with their daily lives. As a military spouse, she understands the demands placed on families and is dedicated to helping parents nourish themselves and their children effectively, even within busy and unpredictable schedules. In her free time, Monika enjoys playing the piano, walking with her dog Moose, and traveling the world with her husband and son.
